Ballet Workout

Ok, so I'm kind of obsessed with the Ballet Beautiful workout by Mary Helen Bowers! They are really challenging, interactive workouts that are completely amazing. I really love the way she uses localized ballet exercises that bring noticeable results very quickly.

and I have noticed that I have been building lean, long and strong muscles. I love ballet beautiful for many different reasons so here are a few! Like I said before it brings results but they aren't easily earned the workout is very difficult which I really enjoy but some people might not. After my first swan arms workout the next day my arm felt like very sore jello!

but each time you get stronger and I can do moves I couldn't do last week which is really encouraging for me. I also really like that it is ballet which makes most of the exercises really beautiful. Its like creating beautiful shapes with your body.
and it makes me happy.

if your looking to change up your workout this is a great option!

If you ever talk to be people about working out or running ect. You probably have herd things like you don't need to lose weight? You look great? Isn't it boring? It is just usumed that if you workout you must be unhappy with the way you look and have now resorted the ridiculously crazy thing of putting your body through this horrible cruel and usual punishment called exercise !

But that's not why I workout, I workout to take care of my body not as a punishment for eating to much!

How being positive has changed my life!

Something that I have always struggled with is being positive about myself. When I would look in the mirror I would criticize myself. Thinking negative thoughts about the way I looked. Then when I would be with people I would be really insecure. I would try not to laugh because I didn't like my smile or I'd wear a coat because I though I was to big. Over the past year I have worked really hard to build positivity in the way I look at myself and the amazing world. Instead tarring myself down about the way I look I found ways to embrace my so called flaws. And now they are my highest treasures! Funny how that happens.

Life is so short. Don't waste criticizing yourself and others, there's no point. I now after many hours of practicing have slowly but surly been learning how to embrace the way I look. You were created beautiful and no one can take that away. Right now say three things that you love about your body.

I love my :
Eyes
Smile
and toes (yes, really I do!)

What do you love about yourself let me know in the comments?

Being positive is empowering you will be surprised at how much it will change your life and how much happier you will be as a person. I love taking negative things and finding positive things about them. Remember " The happy girls are the prettiest." - Audrey Hepburn

Enjoy your life to the fullest don't waste another minute criticizing something that is so uniquely beautiful!

This has help me a much happier, healthy and full life. We all struggle with the way we feel some of the most beautiful women are really insure. Its important to build each other up and support others as well as ourselves.

You are Beautiful!

What should be in your Post Run Smoothie

After your run there are a few things you should do to help your body recover. First , stretch and cool down! But what nutrients should you give your body and in what form.

What I have found most effective is a healthy protien packed smoothie, this way you shart to hydrated, nourish and build muscle all at once.

If you don't give your body protien within 20 minutes of working out it begins to breakdown muscle.
I like to get my protien from almond or goats milk or yogurt. These are all healthy options. Whey protien powder is also an amazing way to really pack in the protien.

So my golden rules for a post run / workout smoothie are
- healthy protien
- bananas to prevent muscle cramping
- ice or water to start hydration
And add other fruit for flavor if you like.

Here is my post run smoothie recipe

Recipe

1/3 frozen bannana
3/4 cup almond milk
1/2 cup ice
1/2 scoop whey protien

Enjoy!

How to keep your New Years Resolutions

Every year we make New Years Resolutions to better ourselves in some way, unfortunately we don't always keep them.
It is great to have goals and what better time then the new year to start off fresh put your past failure's and regrets behind you and make new choices.

1. Refocus, thinking about all the things you want to accomplish in the new year is great but don't forget to take some time and be thankful for all the amazing things in 2013.
2. Be motivated, motivation wears off so I recommend it daily! Find some ways to keep yourself on track through the year. I love Pinterest for great fitness inspiration and motivation and blogs are a great to stay inspired!
3. Write it. Always write your goals down and then do something right now to help make it happen.

Here are some of my favorite moments from 2013.

                  I love the beach :)
Always smiling or laughing ! Happy New Years everyone!
                        My dog

Hope you all had an amazing year full of blessing. I know I did .
